About Tsavo West National Park

Tsavo West National Park is one of Kenya’s largest and most scenic national parks, covering vast wilderness areas between Nairobi and Mombasa. The park is famous for its dramatic volcanic landscapes, lava flows, rolling hills, natural springs, and abundant wildlife.

Established in 1948, Tsavo West forms part of the greater Tsavo ecosystem together with Tsavo East National Park.
