Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve

Your 7 Days Samburu, Aberdares, Lake Nakuru & Masai Mara Safari from Nairobi begins with a morning pick-up from your Nairobi hotel, followed by a scenic drive north across the Equator to Samburu National Reserve.

Arrive at Samburu Serena Lodge / Elephant Bedroom Camp in time for lunch. After relaxation, enjoy your first evening game drive in this spectacular semi-arid wilderness, home to rare wildlife species and dramatic landscapes.

Day 2: Full Day in Samburu National Reserve

Spend the day exploring Samburu’s open savannah plains, traversed by the Ewaso Nyiro River, home to hippos and crocodiles.
Search for Samburu’s rare species including Grevy’s Zebra, Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk, Beisa Oryx, and Somali Ostrich, alongside elephants, lions, leopards, and cheetahs.
Morning and afternoon game drives provide excellent opportunities to fully experience this unique ecosystem.

Day 3: Samburu – Aberdare National Park

After breakfast, depart Samburu and journey south to the lush highlands of Aberdare.
Enjoy lunch at Outspan Hotel, with beautiful views of Mount Kenya and the Chania River.
After lunch, transfer to the world-famous Treetops Lodge, one of Kenya’s most iconic tree lodges, overlooking a floodlit waterhole and salt lick deep within Aberdare National Park.
Spend the evening observing forest elephants, buffaloes, giant forest hogs, and other wildlife directly from the lodge.

Day 4: Aberdare – Lake Nakuru National Park

After an early morning transfer back to Outspan Hotel for breakfast, descend into the scenic Great Rift Valley en route to Lake Nakuru National Park.
Arrive for lunch at Lake Nakuru Lodge / Mbweha Camp / Similar before heading out for an afternoon game drive.
Lake Nakuru is renowned for flamingos, pelicans, white rhinos, black rhinos, Rothschild giraffes, leopards, and exceptional birdlife.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara National Reserve

Day 6: Full Day in Masai Mara National Reserve

Begin your day with an optional hot air balloon safari over the Mara followed by a champagne bush breakfast, or enjoy an early morning game drive.
